North Jakarta and Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency, Thursday (10/31), held Firefighter Volunteer (Redkar) 2024. A total of 37 urban village teams participated it.

Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan, said the competition is held to ensure the preparedness and resilience of the resident who joined the urban village Redkar in facing fire disasters.

Satriadi explained that the urban village Fire Handling and Rescue Taskforce duties are handling fire, mapping, checking firefighting infrastructures, and providing education related to the danger of fire to other resident.
"Redkar is formed to reduce the danger of fire in residential," he explained.
North Jakarta and Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Rahmat Kristantio, stated the competition was participated by 37 teams from urban villages in North Jakarta and Seribu Island. Each team consisted 10 volunteers.
The competition consisted skill tests such as extinguishing fire using wet sack, APAR and portable mobile pump.
"For the winners, prize money and various attractive prizes and door prizes have been prepared," he stated.
